Finally after a year of searching!

I've been using a capture program (VideoLAN\VLC) that can capture and write a 'mp4' or 'mov' file container but playing the video was another story.
I would describe playing anything but 'wmv' (Windows Media Audio Video) under windows as a "skidish" experience.
Sometimes you get sound, sometimes not. Othere times video, somtimes not. What a hassle.
I've been looking since last year for a good converion tool!
And time wasted too.

Well, I need not look any further.

I just took the 'mp4' am 'mov' extensions renamed them to 'mpeg'
convert to 'wmf ' in the easy to use interface and presto change-o
you have something that is windows friendly.
